Michael Blackman is a professional guitar tutor and live acoustic guitarist/singer, dedicated to making complex concepts accessible for his students. With extensive experience working with children and young people, including those with learning difficulties, he fosters a supportive and inclusive learning environment. Specialising in "melody making", he teaches improvisation to encourage creativity among his students. In his performances, Michael captures audiences with acoustic sets that feature classic hits from the 80s to contemporary favourites, enhanced by stage lighting that creates a sophisticated and ambient atmosphere.
Get to know Michael, an energetic musician who began his musical journey at the age of 9, where he began learning the guitar! By 13, he was captivating audiences with his debut live performance, thanks to a wonderful band he met at a rock academy. After focusing on his education he dedicated six amazing years to the care sector, gaining valuable experience supporting individuals with additional needs. Now, as a self-employed music teacher and performer, Michael is on a mission to share his passion for music through engaging guitar lessons, lively session playing, thrilling acoustic performances, all while inspiring the next generation!
